Jacqlyn Zito-Edwards is an auxiliary adjunct assistant professor of voice in the Musical heatre and Commercial Music and Entrepreneur Development program at Shenandoah Conservatory. Her degrees are from the Cleveland Institute of Music/Case Western Reserve University and Louisiana State University. She has performed with Wayside Theatre, KNOW Theatre, Tri-Cities Opera, Bay View Music Festival, Hudson Symphony, Case Western Symphony, Findlay Light Opera, Atlantic Coast Opera Festival, and many others.
She has taught at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts and the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra Conservatory of Music. Current and former students have appeared on American Idol, on and off Broadway, TV/Film, in regional theaters, national tours, cruise ships and live music venues throughout the United States. Recently she has presented at the Virginia Theatre Association, published "The Emerging Future of Collegiate Voice Instruction: Updated SWOT Analysis of Current Practice and Implications for the Next Generation" with Dr. David Meyer and Matt Edwards in the Journal of Singing, and appeared on the A Voice Beyond Podcast to talk about the Historical Bias Against Popular Music Education.
